Project Overview

Spinifex was engaged as the exclusive creative & production group for the Commonwealth Games live event media. The project required the development and creation of all media components viewed throughout the games. From branding and theming through to highlights, interviews, rules, history and so on. Essentially, our content was used as the sole entertainment between the sporting moments. It was designed to engage the audience through a series of inspirational, educational pieces.

Creative

Spinifex was responsible for the overall theme, look and flavour of the Games media. In addition we created style guides and format templates for usage beyond our role.

Production

The Commonwealth Games was a large and demanding project. There was an enormous amount of content due to the number of sports that were covered. Each event required individual packages that were very specific to the sport. In addition to in-stadium media, Spinifex created and managed the media for the “live-sites” within the major arenas.

Technical

  • On site edit and output facilities for instantaneous highlight packages.
  • Multiple custom outputs for various screens, layouts and platforms.
