You have background in screen content, are confident in your skills, not afraid to push yourself and a multi-disciplinary designer with around 5-10 years industry experience. With Spinifex you would be working across a wide range of local and international projects.

You may be designing style frames for a US car launch one day, branding for a multinational corporate the next and visualising interactive installation concepts for a world expo the day after.

We are looking for a talented 3D generalists. We need really good all rounders with broad range of skills and a lot of creative autonomy. Our work is very design driven and thus we are looking for an artistic eye on top of technical skills. We’re looking for good skills in modeling, animation and lighting along with team and project management capacities.

We require people with the ability to work in an expanding design team, producing compelling, photo realistic 3D rendering animation and photo composites for clients that engage, attract and sell.

You will be required to design, create and provide aesthetic advice to suit the clients’ needs, develop high quality animatics, and contribute in brainstorm sessions with the design team to create powerful conceptual ideas.

Required Skills:

• Degree in multimedia design or equivalent
• Minimum 5+ years experience multimedia and/or broadcast design
• Proven ability to work independently to photo composite, model, animate, and render photo realistic environments
• Expert level in 3D software applications such as Maya and/or Max.
• Compositing knowledge and skills a definite advantage
• Solid understanding of animation timing
• Solid understanding of colour
• After Effects skills a definite advantage
• Expert level in Mental Ray or V-RAY
• Must be creative, resourceful, innovative and pro-active

We are looking for experienced artists to execute motion graphic animation based creative lead designs and direction in order to enhance the overall look and feel of content. Combining a strong background in motion design and animation, with open minded and intuitive storytelling capabilities. Work in collaboration with a team or designers, 3d and 2d artists under the supervision of the producer of the project.

Responsibilities:

• Execute animation tasks within a set time frame
• Analyse a brief and designs in order to provide technical and artistic solutions using After Effects
• Work on multiple projects if required
• Collaborate with other project team members share information to ensure smooth work flow
• Ensure the highest artistic quality of the work in order to comply with the creative lead and client brief
• Attend all relevant meetings internal and external when required
• Ensure project time is recorded on a daily basis

Skills :

• Minimum 5 years experience in Motion Graphics using After Effects and Adobe CS suite
• Autonomous and capable of sorting out technical problems quickly
• Must be creative, resourceful, innovative and pro-active
• Very strong communication skills
• Motivated and flexible
• Solid understanding of animation timing
• Good artistic eye and good understanding of the graphic requirements of a project
• Knowledge of other CG tools is a plus (2d and 3d software)

We’re looking for an Internal Recruiter and Resource Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a production or creative agency recruitment background to join our team sourcing 2D and 3D artists, designers, developers and technicians to fill full-time and freelance roles.

The Role :
The main focus for the Recruitment / Resource Manager will be the recruitment, contracting, and induction of all staff, including freelancers. We’re looking for someone energetic in sourcing candidates using a variety of approaches – e.g., online advertising, networking, candidate referral, or specialist agencies. Working with department heads to draft job specs and advertisements, the role of the manager is also to maintain the database of full-time and freelance candidates. 

The responsibilities extend to developing, modifying and updating HR policies, undertaking skills assessment of Spinifex employees in conjunction with the heads of department via review processes, and assisting management implement training initiatives when required.

Essential qualities :

• A background in VFX (2D and 3D), interactive media production, post production, digital agencies, or experience with a creative industries recruitment agency is essential.
• An understanding of interactive, artists, technicians roles, skills and rates.
• Process driven and able to develop and maintain efficient systems to track Resource requirements.
• Good negotiating skills.
• Experience in establishing and maintaining company best practice systems.
• Patience and ability to multi task.
• Highly organised, efficiency and have excellent communication skills.
